Surf Blankets are X-Tex fabric sheets that can be tethered in the surf &
will float on the surface collecting oil before it gets to the beach. These
blankets can be used along with our Ultra-Microbes that will dissolve the
oil upon contact. Surf Blankets are 10'W x 5'L and are equipped with 25'
tethers and cork screw anchors.

The oil spill resulting from the sinking of the Deepwater Horizon on April 20th
is slowly approaching our beautiful coastline. All attempts thus far to stop the
flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico have failed. It is only a matter of time before
this contaminated oil slick will impact our coastline. Indoff is a national
distributor of products that may help minimize the effects of this spill to our
fragile eco-system. Our offices are located here in Pensacola & in Destin. We
are ready to assist you in your efforts to preserve our way of life. Please review
the products below & let us know how we can help.
Supplies are limited & on a first come / first serve basis due to the impending disaster. Please contact us immediately to ensure availability!

Ultra-Microbes are the oldest approved biological/microbe product on the EPA’s National Contingency Products List for
water applications involving oil. It is approved for use by the government of Japan who used it to help clean up a Russian oil
tanker spill. It was also approved and used successfully by the Texas Land Commission in the clean up of the Mega Borg
tanker spill in 1989. We strongly suggest you view the youtube video as it has a tremendous amount of information on the
Ultra-Microbes and the success of their use in the spill cleanup. It has been tested extensively by a number of universities
and government agencies and found to be harmless to plant and animal life and safe for the environment. These microbes
have been used to re-mediate oil on water and in soil successfully since the late 1970s.
Bottom line: Microbes occur naturally in the environment and this is why, eventually, after years and perhaps decades, oil
spills eventually get cleaned up by mother nature. The naturally occurring microbes in the environment don't have a
preference for digesting oil but they will become remediation agents as it contaminates their environment. The Ultra-
Microbes are specially bred on sweet Texas crude oil to give them an affinity for digesting oil. By adding Ultra-Microbes to an
oil spill you are 'super charging' mother nature and the natural bio-remediation process. This is a natural, but highly
effective means, to turn a disaster such as an oil spill into a short-term cleanup rather than a long-term challenge.
There are a number of applications where this material can be successfully used in the clean-up.
Our Ultra-Microbes are 1 of 13 breeds of microbes that have been approved for use in Gulf waters . They have been proven
to be extremely effective in eliminating the specific oil resulting from the DeepWater Horizon Spill. Ultra-Microbes are the
first line of defense in stopping the oil at sea before it impacts our coastlines.

X-Tex Loose Fill Ultra-Oil Absorbing Booms

X-Tex Loose Fill Ultra-Oil Absorbing Booms
|
The X-Tex Loose Fill Oil Absorbing Boom is a super absorbent boom system made with X-Tex loose fill over a 3" poly-foam
core. It is contained in netting. This boom absorbs and holds 20 gallons of oil per 10' section which is substantially more
than the standard boom offered today which just gets coated with oil and nothing ever gets to the core of the boom. With
the X-Tex as the outer surface, the oil can actually penetrate to the boom as well as stick to the X-Tex outer surface, all the
while letting water pass through it. Infusing Microbes into them just make them that much more effective & can remediate
the oil as it contacts the boom.
Booms are available in 10'L x 5" Dia. sections with no flaps. Each boom has 1' overlaps with connections for securing
multiple booms. Production capability of this boom is 20,000 feet per week.
Production Capability of Microbes is 60 Tons per Week

•Produced from recycled synthetic fibers - Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, these
materials are blended and processed into a lightweight fiber mass with enormous
surface area and interstitial spaces creating a high performance sorbant and filter media.
•Designed for use as a durable long lasting geo-textile and filter media.
•Allows large volumes of water to pass through while absorbing liquid hydrocarbons,
including petroleum, animal and vegetable oils.
•Cost effective — absorbs an average of 20 times its own weight of liquid hydrocarbons.
•Great for use in oil / water separators, storm water and wastewater filtration systems
and water "polishing" applications.
X-Tex material, a long-time staple in our storm water management product line is an exceptional tool
for oil spill cleanup.
The rolled fabric is different than polypropylene in that it allows water to instantly filter through the
material and pulls off the oil selectively as the material is hydrophilic. Polypropylene repels the water
and this can make it take longer for the oil to be readily absorbed in a surf environment where the oil
is no longer a surface sheen, rather it is being broken up in the surf.
There are many ways that X-Tex can be used. Here are some standard products that are now available
from UltraTech:
1. UltraTech is making 15" x 15" X-Tex Pads available to be used to clean animals, rocks, etc. They
come in bundles of (50). They will also be available in a microbe-infused form for even greater oil
cleaning ability and remediation (microbes may not be suitable for washing of birds).
2. As you'll see below, Oil Blankets are a concept that are being well received as a last line of defense
along the shore and in the surf. Each 5' x 10' Oil Blanket can hold up to (16) gallons of oil.
3. Oil Boom - Now available from UltraTech in 50' lengths with hard cable tops, 5 1/2" polyethylene
foam flotation and 7" or 18" skirts. This Boom is made out of X-Tex allowing it to absorb .8 to 1.6
gallons per linear foot. This material can also be infused with microbes to provide continuous
remediation within the X-Tex as well as allowing the microbes to disperse to the surrounding water,
beaches and shoreline.
4. Use it for Silt Fence applications where X-Tex is attached to fence posts & backing, the X-Tex can
be placed in front of marshes, wetlands and any shoreline where it's relatively flat water. The X-Tex in
these applications can be infused with microbes or microbes can be sprayed on after the fence is in
place. The ability of X-Tex to allow water to easily flow through it while pulling off the oil makes it an
excellent filter material and protective barrier for sensitive estuaries.
